Course Projects
Desktop Publishing & Publication Design
This page showcases my college-level portfolio work. Browse the collection to see designs I have created with Adobe Suite software including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. The end design of each project emphasizes the four core principles of design - contrast, alignment, repetition, and proximity.
Post card

This project was based on an actual webinar series hosted by the University of Arkansas System, Division of Agriculture. While the subject matter is accurate, this postcard was not used for print or distribution purposes.

Identity Package Design
For this project, I was tasked with creating an identity package for a fictitious company containing a business card, envelope, and letterhead. I designed the whisk graphic using Adobe Illustrator and created the rest of the composition in Adobe InDesign. The phone number (from a popular country song) was the inspiration for the business location.

Magazine Spread

This magazine spread was to be based on the same company I created for the Identity Package, above. I used repetition with the font choice, and I chose a classic black and white color scheme. Photos included in this composition are my own from my baking and blogging days. This was a fun project, and I was happy that I could feature my own photos in the spread.

Newsletter

Of all the projects for this Desktop Publishing course, I must say this was the most challenging. It is a four-page newsletter spread based on the company created with the Identity Package, above. Element alignment and grid spacing were very challenging, however, they were also very rewarding once I achieved my final, improved version of the project. All photos featured in this project are my own.
